The SCREAM Franchise keeps growing. What has happened up to now?
Here's a synopsis of the first five Scream movies and a no-spoiler summary of Scream Six:
Scream (1996) - Directed by Wes Craven, Scream is a horror movie that follows a group of high school students who are targeted by a mysterious killer wearing a Ghostface mask. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
Scream 2 (1997) - In this sequel to the original Scream, a copycat killer begins targeting the survivors of the first movie at a college campus. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
Scream 3 (2000) - The third movie in the Scream franchise follows Sidney Prescott, who is once again targeted by a Ghostface killer, this time on the set of a horror movie. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
Scream 4 (2011) - Ten years after the events of Scream 3, Sidney returns to her hometown of Woodsboro, where a new Ghostface killer is targeting her and her friends. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
Scream 5 (2022) - The fifth movie in the franchise takes place 25 years after the events of the original Scream. Sidney Prescott returns to Woodsboro to face a new Ghostface killer, who is targeting a younger generation. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
Scream Six (2023) - The upcoming movie, set to release in UK cinemas from 9th March 2023, continues the story of Sidney Prescott and a new generation of characters as they face a new Ghostface killer. The film stars Jenna Ortega, Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Liana Liberato, Hayden Panettiere, Jack Champion, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra, Tony Revolori, Courteney Cox, and Samara Weaving.
