Gelert Rainpod Jacket for boys is an essential for any trip. The coated, waterproof, breathable fabric is soft and lightweight so it packs away neatly into its own matching storage pod bag - making it compact for travelling and easy to always have to hand. This hooded jacket has a front zip with an easy grab fastener, a storm flap with hook and loop closures and it also has fully taped seams and a water resistant finish. The sleeves have elasticated cuffs and the two front pockets are concealed in the side front seams and fasten with hook and loop tape. The hood has an elasticated panel at the top of the front edge and it can be folded away to form a collar by securing with a flap in the back neck. The hood and pockets have a mesh lining and there is a mesh panel on the pod bag that also has an elasticated top with securing toggle and a dog clip for attaching to belt loops, backpacks or anywhere you want to store your jacket until you need it. The Rainpod Jacket is completed with reflective piping to the front and back for improved visibility on dark nights or mornings. Perfect for any outdoor adventure!
Water Repellent - Suitable to wear in wet weather.
Taped Seams - The seams have extra protection to help prevent water penetration.
Composition - 100% Nylon outer with 100% Polyester linings, excluding trims. Can be hand washed.
HH rating of 2000 - Hydrostatic Head is the measurement of waterproofing. To measure the HH of a fabric a column of water is pressed against it. The height of the column is increased until the water penetrates the fabric.
MVP Breathability 2000 - The breathability of a fabric is crucial in outdoor products to ensure that perspiration can be moved away from the body more effectively. This is measured by the rate at which water vapour passes through, in the units of grams of water vapour per square metre of fabric per 24hr period (g/m2/d), often abbreviated to just "g".
